For this 4-day weekend we have Valentine’s Day, Percy and the Olympians, and the Wolfman. All the movies seem to be opening around expectations. This weekend their weren’t many takers and I was only able to make a fraction of the bets I wanted. I went long on Valentine’s Day at the $37.5, $40.0, and $42.5 Million price points.
| Movie | Opening Weekend Prediction |
| Valentine’s Day | $48.45 Million |
| Percy and the Olympians | $33.58 Million |
| The Wolfman | $28.28 Million |
Pretty sick there is a guy posting real time box office numbers on HSX Forums
ReplyDeleteI got in on Intertops this week, you?
ReplyDeleteGot 3.00 for > 55M, hedged with some on 48M-55M, just enough to breakeven if it hits there, with net result being a 2.00 on > 55M, and breakeven on 48M-55M, liability below 48M. Thought the odds on there beat intrade this week, not much a fan of the odds on intrade lately, and haven't been trading there much.
maybe bit less than 2.00 on > 55M, but you get the point.
ReplyDeletetalking about vday of course.
ReplyDeleteNo Intertops this weekend. I got in some bets and came out well this week. Nice catch over there. The greater than $55 Million for +300 turned out to be a really good bet.
ReplyDeleteJust catching on to this guy on HSX posting real-time numbers. He said he got in trouble and isn't going to do it anymore. I would freaking love to have his contact info...I'd pay him good money for real-time numbers!
ReplyDeleteI kinda figured it wasn't going to last long.
